Wordle

Have just discovered "Wordle" after a visit to Meghan's blog (http://elearningmeghan.blogspot.com/) and just had to try it out! On wordle you type in lots of different key words about something and then you can play around with the colour, font, layout etc and it displays it in what looks halfway between a poem and a brainstorm. What would be neat is getting kids to do one about themselves at the beginning of the year and posting them up around the classroom because you can get a lot of insight into a child's personality by the font, colour, layout choices they make. Also, it would be a great tool in reading and writing as the students can use it to show character traits of a character they have been reading about, or are creating in a piece of writing.
